Editorial Guidelines
At TheCryptoMojo, we know that trust matters more in cryptocurrency content than almost any other topic we could write about. Readers come to us to understand something genuinely confusing, sometimes before making real financial decisions. This page explains how we approach our content, how we maintain accuracy, and how we handle the relationships that support this Site financially.
Our Editorial Mission
Our goal is to make cryptocurrency and blockchain technology understandable, without hype, exaggeration, or unnecessary jargon. We aim to explain concepts clearly, present balanced information, and be upfront about risk and uncertainty wherever it exists; because it almost always does in this industry.
How We Research and Write Content
We prioritize primary sources. Wherever possible, we base our content on original sources; official project documentation, regulatory publications, whitepapers, and data we’ve reviewed directly- rather than simply summarizing what other outlets have already written.
We fact-check before publishing. Every article is reviewed for accuracy before it goes live, including verifying technical claims, statistics, and any regulatory information referenced.
We avoid speculation dressed up as certainty. You won’t find definitive price predictions, “guaranteed” outcomes, or “can’t miss” framing in our content. Where the future is genuinely uncertain; which is often the case in crypto – we say so plainly.
We update content over time. Cryptocurrency regulation, technology, and market conditions change quickly. We periodically review and update our published content to reflect new developments, and we note when an article has been substantively revised.
We write for understanding, not clicks. Headlines and content are written to accurately reflect what’s inside the article. We don’t use misleading titles, artificial urgency, or exaggerated claims to drive traffic.
How We Handle Corrections
We’re human, and mistakes happen. If we get something wrong, we correct it. When a correction involves a material factual error, we note the update at the bottom of the article along with the date it was made. Minor corrections (typos, formatting) are made without a formal notice.
If you spot something that needs correcting, please let us know through our Contact Us page- we take these reports seriously and review them promptly.
Affiliate Relationships and Editorial Independence
TheCryptoMojo earns revenue in part through affiliate partnerships with cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets, and related services, as described in our full Affiliate Disclosure.
These partnerships do not determine our coverage or ratings. No advertiser or affiliate partner is given the opportunity to review, approve, or influence our content before publication. Our reviews and comparisons are based on defined criteria; including security practices, fee structures, supported features, regulatory standing, and user experience- which we apply consistently across the platforms we cover, whether or not an affiliate relationship exists.
Where relevant, we disclose affiliate relationships directly within the content itself, in addition to the site-wide disclosure page.
What We Won’t Do
- We won’t publish content that presents speculative price predictions as guaranteed outcomes
- We won’t accept payment in exchange for a positive review or a specific rating
- We won’t allow sponsors or affiliate partners to edit or approve editorial content
- We won’t use fear, urgency, or hype-driven language to encourage impulsive financial decisions
- We won’t present our content as personalized financial, legal, or tax advice
Advertising and Sponsored Content
If we publish sponsored content or paid placements, they will be clearly and conspicuously labeled as such (for example, “Sponsored” or “Partner Content”), and will never be presented as independent editorial coverage.
